Start with the video you want to finish
You do not need every tool before making the first video
Carry one remote conversation from guest readiness through separate-track recording, edit, clips and a publishable episode.
If a step has no suggested tool, you can still finish the video. Use software you already have or do that step by hand. Replace only work that slows you down more than once.
01 · What needs to be finished here
Recording and collaboration
Send the guest a device, microphone, room and consent check; record a short test, confirm each local track is fully uploaded, and keep the call recording only as a fallback.
How to continue without a new subscription
Record locally with the devices available, obtain consent and keep the original files plus a backup.
02 · What needs to be finished here
Video editing
Sync the separate tracks, repair only necessary interruptions, produce the full episode first, and derive clips from the approved master rather than parallel edits.
Adobe Premiere Pro
You publish regularly, work with layered timelines, captions, audio, graphics, or client feedback, and want one editing system to mature with you.
Build a clear cover or slide with basic shapes, type and an image you are permitted to use.
04 · What needs to be finished here
Music and creative assets
Use music only after confirming podcast, video and clip rights for the chosen channels. Keep the licence evidence and an export containing speech without music, so the music can be removed or replaced later.
Artlist
You publish regularly, need music or SFX across a series, and want one searchable catalog, stems, project boards and license records in the same workflow.
Publish without music or use an asset whose release rights you can document.
If something stops the work
Keep every usable export, recording, and source file. If a later step fails, return to the last file that worked.
Try the failed step again with the same material. Change one tool at a time so you can see what fixed the problem.
After the fix, check names, numbers, captions, audio, and permission records before calling the video finished.
A paid tool becomes worth considering when
The same step has delayed more than one finished video, and you can name the work you keep repeating by hand.
A test with the same material removes at least one manual task without lowering the quality you need.
You have confirmed the price, country availability, and use terms for the account that will publish or deliver the video.
This step is finished when
Guest consent is recorded, every local track is complete, the full episode and clips share the approved facts and names, speech is clear and artwork and music rights are traceable.
Start here
Choose one guest and run a short private test that covers consent, local recording, full upload, sync and one draft clip before booking the full session.
Calculate the monthly cost after one video works
Enter the subscriptions you actually pay for, the number of generation tries, and the videos you finish. Use zero only when a step really costs nothing. Do not turn an unknown price into zero.
